e-LOTS 1.0

The Department of Education, Government of Bihar, has made efforts to ensure the continuity of education for students in government schools from grades 1 to 12, considering the impact of COVID-19 and the closure of schools. In collaboration with the Bihar Education Project Council, the State Education Research and Training Council, and UNICEF, digital/online education has been implemented by creating e-content based on textbooks from classes 1 to 12. Additionally, e-content has been obtained from various sources such as Diksha portal, Swayam Prabha channel, National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER), and other educational institutions working in the field of education. During the academic year 2020-21, educational broadcasting based on this e-content was also conducted through Doordarshan Bihar under the program "Mera Doordarshan Mera Vidyalaya".

In this context, the Department of Education, Government of Bihar has decided to develop an e-library for students from grades 1 to 12, known as e-LOTS (Library of Teachers and Students). The e-library includes academic videos, reference videos, and links to content available on Diksha portal based on the textbooks and lessons from classes 1 to 12, along with question-answer sets for practice exercises. The use of e-LOTS not only provides students with opportunities for learning but also allows them to assess their understanding through practicing questions related to the respective lessons. Teachers and other stakeholders can also utilize the educational content available on e-LOTS to enhance their own capacity development and provide better guidance to students in schools. It is hoped that teachers and students will make full use of this e-library for their educational needs.
